Zoho People 5.0 marks a new chapter in our 15-year journey, bringing enhanced capabilities that cater to today’s HR needs. With your ongoing feedback, we’ve focused on refining features to provide HR professionals with powerful tools to manage the complexities of modern workspaces.
Major Features in 2024
1. Compensation Module
Managing employee compensation is crucial, and we’ve made it easier than ever. The new Compensation module lets HR teams manage employee salaries and benefits with precision. From salary revisions to performance-linked hikes, this module ensures smooth, efficient salary management.
2. HR Process Management
Transitioning employees between departments or roles is now seamless with Zoho People’s HR Process feature. HR teams can easily manage employee movements, set up approval processes, and ensure smooth transitions with minimal effort.
3. Spaces: Your Centralized Hub
Spaces is a dedicated feature that centralizes all HR functions in one location. Employees can manage their schedules, track performance, and submit leave requests—all from a single space. With Team Spaces and Organization Spaces, communication and task management have never been simpler.
4. Settings and Operations for Seamless User Experience
We’ve introduced separate tabs for Settings and Operations to streamline tasks. While Settings handles one-time configurations, Operations ensures daily HR functions are accessible and easily managed.
5. Sandbox for Testing
The Sandbox feature provides a safe environment to test new features without risking live data. This ensures smooth implementation and helps identify potential issues before they affect your HR system.
6. Enhanced Data Security
Zoho People takes the security of sensitive employee information seriously. Our improved data security measures include strict access controls to ensure that only authorized personnel can access confidential information.
7. Location Tracking
Track remote and field employees' locations with our new Location Tracking feature. This helps ensure employees are present at their designated work locations, offering peace of mind to employers.
8. Attendance-Based Accrual
Our most-requested feature, Attendance-based accrual, allows employees to accrue leave based on their workdays, giving you more control over leave management.
9. Employee Engagement Surveys
Employee Engagement as a user service allows employees to participate in surveys, track their responses, and stay updated on engagement initiatives.

We hosted HR Roundtables in five major cities across India. These events gave HR professionals a chance to share insights and explore innovative solutions for common HR challenges.
